Mission - Vision
Izmir Institute of Technology Scientific Research Projects Coordinator Unit, BAP-K, was established with the Senate Decision dated 23.01.2019 and numbered 3 in accordance with the Regulation on Scientific Research Projects of Higher Education Institutions issued based on Article 58 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547; with the aim of efficient operation and regular monitoring of all national and international research project activities of IZTECH.
The Scientific Research Projects Coordination Office, which works under the Research Directorate, consists of 2 main units: Support Offices and Executive Offices.
Our mission is to provide the technical and administrative support needed in the proposal, application, realization and finalization processes of the research projects carried out / to be carried out or partnered by IZTECH faculty members and to coordinate the relevant units.
Our vision is to be a unit that contributes to maximizing the research capacity of IZTECH with laboratories equipped with high technological equipment and well-trained researchers.

IZTECH BAP-K Support Offices,
- Providing the necessary technical and administrative support during the application and execution stages of IZTECH supported Scientific Research Projects,
- Promotion of National and International Project support opportunities and announcement of project calls on the web page,
- Checking the project applications in terms of IZTECH’s obligations and transferring the information to the IZTECH Research Projects Database,
- Providing the technical information and documents required in the writing and execution phases of International Projects
- Compiling and evaluating statistical information on the research performance of IZTECH as a Research University
provides services in the fields of research.
IZTECH BAP-K Executive Offices,
- Carrying out Administrative and Financial Transactions regarding the realization and finalization processes of the projects that are entitled to be supported nationally or internationally,
- Providing the necessary technical and administrative support in the execution stages of IZTECH supported Scientific Research Projects, BAP,
- Movable Transaction Service, Foreign Purchases and Customs Transactions
- Transactions of sending the SSI pays of TÜBİTAK Scholars to the SSI account
provides services in the fields of research.
